Hi devs,
I have been trying using Amarok for listening to internet radios. It works very well when it comes to listening, but support seems to be limited when it comes to playlists: it seems only to save the stream URL, which makes it impossible to build a sensible playlist (let's say, of my favorite rock stations). So a playlist ends up looking like this: http://145.58.33.95:8068 http://21.58.33.95:80080 .... If I play an entry, I see 'whatever track' ON 'whatever radio' - so the radio name is there; it is just not stored in the db. The change would be to store in the amarok db the stream name, not only the stream location. That would make a huge difference for us using Amarok for streams. Do you think this can be implemented? Thanks you all S. Nokkia |

IIRC this very much depends on how the station sends its metadata. Please make a feature request on http://bugs.kde.org for this.
Running Kubuntu 22.10 with Plasma 5.26.3, Frameworks 5.100.0, Qt 5.15.6, kernel 5.19.0-23 on Ryzen 5 4600H, AMD Renoir, X11
FWIW: it's always useful to state the exact Plasma version (+ distribution) when asking questions, makes it easier to help ... |

I checked, and it looks like this is a bug: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=305389 Hopefully it will get fixed soon! S. Nokkia |
