Hello,
Amarok 2.8.0 / KDE 4.11.3 on Arch. (*) Some artist (!= various) is selected, various is collapsed. 1) I filter the collection, no hits in various artists. I delete the filter. Various artists is expanded, some random various artists album is expanded, the list position is on the very top. 2) Same as (*), I select a stored filter, which also included various artists. Various is expanded, no other artist is. 3) Starting from 2), no various artist selected. I delete the filter expression => various artists are expanded. Collapsing various artists is probably the action I do the most with Amarok. Can I somehow make Amarok to be a bit less a fan of various artists? Thanks! |

Weird, I don't see that here at all. Might be worth checking the amarokrc file, maybe something in there causes that.
Running Kubuntu 22.10 with Plasma 5.26.3, Frameworks 5.100.0, Qt 5.15.6, kernel 5.19.0-23 on Ryzen 5 4600H, AMD Renoir, X11
FWIW: it's always useful to state the exact Plasma version (+ distribution) when asking questions, makes it easier to help ... |

I haven't found anything suspicious to me, just the entries in [Collection Folders] seem to be a kind of redundant. I have only one collection folder, which is ~/Musik.
Thx!

Redundant possible, as you have some very old stuff inside that file. You can for example completely remove the [LikeBack]
option, that was removed a while back already. Try erasing the [CollectionBrowser] part, see if that helps.

Ok, I've simply deleted the amarokrc. Did a rescan, statistcs were not lost, setup was fast.
But the behavior I mentioned did not change. |

Possible this is already fixed as I use a version which is ahead by about 100+ commits to the released 2.8 version and can't reproduce this at all.
