Some of these are probarly sugested before, I appologice for any double post.
1)Regarding the handeling of album art: Look in the folder where the album is for any images. If I recal correctly windows media player shows images called folder.jpeg, so manny new-adopters of linux probarly have those. In addition it should look for files called f.ex cover, front, [Album-name], and if no of them exis't see if it finds any image file and then use that one. One possibility would be to allow users to define their own regular expresion, but amaroK should include a sane default. 2)Regarding the downloading of folder images: If I have any album with f.ex (Disc 1) and (Disc 2) it wont find the cover. It should search for the cover, and if it dont find any it should look at the album name and see if it includes f.eks Disc x, Ep or Single. And if it does it should remove those and try again. One example is my The Beatles - White album, witch is a 2 disc sett, so the album fields are called White Album (Disc 1) and White Album (Disc 2). With that it dont find the album cover, but on White Album it find it. 3)About the fetching of album art. Sometimes I get a result, but when I press save it dont save. My only guess it that the album art has the wrong shape, and therefore amaroK rejects it. 4)In the context browser, when you left click on the folder image, it opens an amazon page. What about looking into using amg instead? 5)The smart playlist. I create a new playlist, call it summertime and then have [Title] - [Conatins] - Summertime. Only "Match the following condition" is marked. Then I add it, but it dont contains any songs. I have several songs called summertime, all added to collection. If I search in the collection for summertime i get many results. Any tip on what I do wrong? Btw, does it support regular expresions? 6)In the context window, under "Tracks on this album" every song is listed twice. The same goes for "Favorite tracks by this artist" and number under "Albums by this artist" (if the album has 9 tracks is says that is has 18). All my albums have a *.m3u file (playlist file), could that be the reason? In the collection and playlist view they are listed once, like they should. See attached image. I love the player, and especialy the context part in a nice touch. Mortiferus. Post edited by: mortiferus, at: 2004/09/26 05:09 Post edited by: mortiferus, at: 2004/09/26 05:34 |
