I have played with Amarok 1.1 a couple hours yesterday i have to say it's Amazing you have done a very great player and i enjoyed the new playlist tab and the musicbrainz and the cover fetching .


i have encountered sont little issue that might improve usability.

1. In the collection Browser why not having an All Collection at the Top like in the smart Playlist.

2. The Covermanager is placed in a place a little bit hard to find, in the collection browser?? why not on the Menu at the bottom right and on the Menu in the context broser when you click on a cover (i think it makes more sense here)

3. Can i rate a song mannualy? i did'nt find the option

4.Would be nice to have a Print Option in The cover Manager with the cover in front and the song listing in the Back? :y32b4:

5.Why the streams tab is removed i know it's on playlist but it would have been nice to have the streams tab listed by genre Like -
- Alternative
|____ Brainstorm
|_____Ball
+ Classic Rock
+ Classic
and so on

6. The MusicBrainz tagger have some quirk. i hade a song of U2 the tile was having and suddenly after fetching the song was showing Lenny Kravitz (and i know tha the song is from U2 and the title is Ok , buut probablyy similar with the song of Lenny) so i thnik the it would be nice to see all the results and select the right one from the fetched info from music brainz.

it's just some suggestions maby for you it does not make sense so if you don't like my suggestions just les me know

I think printing is out of our scope. Use a specialized app for this.

This doesn't work with playlist-browser. I think the current Cool-Streams list is pretty ok, as it isn't that long anyway.

IIRC a wish for this already exists. If not, submit one. The right place for wishes is bugs.kde.org.

this is the fastest growing proect have ever seen since a while.

Mark Kretschmann in his reply to Francis Bellanger of 28th Sept 2004 said that printing is out of our scope. That those wishing to print should use another app. Could he please say what other app he had in mind? Where could a newbie find out how to use the app. Thinking that the SQ-Lite database might be the solution I have searched for the SQ-Lite database but have been unable to locate it.
I also wished to be able to sort my collection of music by other criteria such as rating, disk number and type using the 'Sort By' command as these are already available as criteria in the play list It would not seem difficult to add them to the 'Group By' command . Am I being silly? Amarok does so much of what I want that I wish to thank those responsible for it's creation. John Horn
