Sometimes musicbranz find the wrong informations. For this reason, it would be great if Amarok dosen't overwrite the tags automatically. I think a second view with the same input folders like the normal Tageditor next to it would be excellent for that. The original will be overwritten only by pressing a button like "Change Tags" or "Overwrite Original Tags".

I suppose that the wrong information cames from an not identical TRM. So it would be nice if it's possible to search after some tags in the musicbrainzdatabase (Like the Advanced Search on the Musicbrainzwebpage). Sometimes you have informations like track name and artist, but not the album and the rest. So you should have to mark the tags were your sure that they are correct and amarok will search the other informations.

I totaly agree with the idea about searching by the tags you know. It would be extremely useful and would allow us to fill the album tags on the songs we know artist and title. Or, by knowing the title and the album(soundtrack perhaps) you could search the artist. The tags should be markable for that purpose.
