Unless I'm doing something stupid the function of the "Queue After Current Track" entry on the right-click menu of the context panel doen't behave in the same way as "Play as Next" which is invoked from a right-click on a playlist item...
For me at least this is a shame... The descriptions of the entries imply very similar functionality but they differ greatly especially when the player is in random mode. "Play as Next" overrides the random mode abd returns to it after the selected track has been played. "Queue After Current Track" doesn't do this and so has no real effect whilst in random mode. This is (a) Mildly inconsistent, (b) a bit of a shame when the context panel tempts you with a track you'd like to hear without disturbing your normal patten of random selection. Having said this: I've just started using amaroK after 7 years as an Xmms user - I was won over completely in the first 10 minutes... congratulations on a great job of work... Hey Rupert,
I have a similar "problem" and haven't found a better thread to post it to yet. On my work computer the queued song gets moved (and marked with a 1) right after the playing song. On my laptop (with the same version 1.4.7-1 on Archlinux with KDE 3.5.8 ) the song only gets marked with the 1 but stays where it is so that the playlist jumps to that song and basically skips the other songs in between (or replays them when the song was before the song that is playing right now). I haven't found the option for that behaviour yet and would be grateful if someone could help out! Thanks in advance, Micha
