I think this shouldn\'t end in a discussion about porting or not. If there is a way to port then this port should be ready as soon as possible!

And if you/the users just use Linux because of amaroK then Linux isn\'t that what you/what they want!

Okay, you have convinced me. I am going to start on the windows port straight away, using my vast personal wealth to buy the QT license. I\'ll set up a sourcforge project right away to handle bug reporting and a mailing list. Who can help?

Peter, your missing the fact that there\'s been a discussion on whether to port /all/ of KDE. amaroK is just one app of many that will probably end up on Windows, no matter what we say here. And its legally impossible to do so now, if you or oggb4mp3 had bothered to read the thread. :)

illegal!!!!!! WTF? That\'s not fair.

Well, I am doing it anyway. Throw me in jail if you want, but software is meant to be free, and amaroK was meant to run on Windows.

Well, I\'m going to do a website for a law firm. Maybe they can pay me in-kind. Consider yourself sued mister!

Qt 3 is nearby avaiable as Qt/winfree:

http://kde-cygwin.sourceforge.net/qt3-win32/index.php[/url]

...or would it be so hard to port it over to Qt4? I think Qt4 has a big compatible layer that Qt3 applications still run or not? I just read there is a tool that helps porting Qt3 apps to Qt4:

http://doc.trolltech.com/4.0/porting4.html
http://doc.trolltech.com/4.0/qt3to4.html

...ok I don\'t know if \"KDElibs for Win33\" works with Qt4: http://wiki.kde.org/tiki-index.php?page=KDElibs+for+win32.

But I think there are many possible ways.. pleas try to go one way!
