I run Gnome, I\'m not interested in an argument over the relative merits of Gnome and KDE I have a good friend I can do that with . The main music player in gnome is rhythmbox, which has some minor advantages over amarok. Well, two as far as I can make out.
Firstly it avoids that overly colourful interface that all kde apps insist on having, by using (judging by it\'s styling) GTK. GTK is nice and clean. Secondly, it has a applet contoller, which is faster that keyboard shortcuts to use if you spend anytime on it with a mouse. It\'s looks like a piece of **** to write, so has anyone done so yet? Anyway, I loved amarook from the first moment I used it, but I won\'t be switching to KDE to make it more usable. I\'d be happy to do the latter, streatch my skills. |
