It would be nice to have the option of automatically saving covers either:
1) in the files themselves (via id3) 2) in the file directory This way the cover files persist across applications, OS\'s, devices, etc. Just a thought. - Ben |

or
3) in a special folder only with covers, (artist - trackname.jpg or artist - album.jpg) - cheers Johnny |

Hehe, especially for when amaroK starts deleting people\'s album covers.

Put the cover image in the same dir as the album. Amarok will automatically use them.

the problem with that is when you have more albums in a directory. Personally, I have my collection build up through this system, for example:
music/p/prince/purple rain - 00 - back.jpg music/p/prince/purple rain - 00 - cd.jpg music/p/prince/purple rain - 00 - front.jpg music/p/prince/purple rain - 01 - let\'s go crazy.mp3 in the same directory, there are also some other albums by Prince. Some of them have also got jpg\'s. (Haven\'t scanned all my albums yet) What happens now it that audioscrobbler will sometimes take random covers for albums and it is next to impossible to stop it from doing so. (remove cover? no way..) I\'d like to be able to tell audioscrobbler what to look for and what to do if that option is not there. This would make the covers work much better. (currently, a large portion of the covers are wrong) The covermanager is problematic anyway, it takes quite a long time to open. And why is it the only place to see how many albums you have? I\'d like more info than: 8118 tracks (610:27:00) I don\'t think it is right to need to open the cover manager to see \"651 albums\". Anyway, got a little of track there. I would like more flexible ways to treat covers, both saving and getting. If Amazon doesn\'t let you keep the covers, then maybe we need to find something else? CC |
