I was wondering if it would be possible to add some DCOP calls that allow you to skip back or forward a certain number of tracks. I\'m using a remote control using LIRC and IRKick. Problem is that when I go back or forward a song it takes a while for amaroK to start playing the new song (lot of CPU usage as well) so if I keep pressing the button I can\'t keep track of which song its gonna go too. Its a bit difficult to explain, but I\'m sure you\'ll guys get it.
Keep up the good work with amaroK. I\'ve been using Winamp on Windows for ages, but I recently switched to Linux and amaroK is simply the best player out there right now. Let\'s hope it stays that way . |

You could do this with getActiveIndex() and playByIndex(int).

I\'d like to see a get-un-urlencoded-filename command, so I don\'t need to decrypt the string with php

\"I\'d like to see a get-un-urlencoded-filename command\"
Seconding this, since having to unencode it in a perl script as well. |

Done. * New DCOP call "player: path()". Returns the path of the current track.

Was this included in 1.2.4 or is it for a future release? KDCOP doesn\'t show it. Not a rush since I got the Encoded URL being Unencoded for now, just that having the Unencoded path would be one less step. Anything to speed up a script, if only by a millisecond. :-P |

Is the \"path\" DCOP call supposed to show the path for a stream? If not, curious what the reasoning is.
Currently, it doesn\'t. Basically, got a script that uses the \"path\" to get the MP3 location (thanks for adding this, BTW, hated unencoding the encoded URL). If it\'s actually a local MP3, it grabs some info from the MP3 that amaroK ignores, like MBIDs. If it\'s not local (stream), it just grabs the \"nowPlaying\" and uses the Stream URL to determine the station being listened to. The Problem If it is a stream, DCOP \"path\" is empty. Which means an extra call is needed to get \"encoded URL\". Is it possible to get \"path\" to show the stream URL? Or is there reasoning that it is the way it is that I\'m not seeing? |

Well the point of the path is to show the local paths for local files so you don\'t have to deal with all the extra URL **** for local files.
