hi,
i listen to Virgin AM quite often (its already in cool streams). artist and title are displayed fine.. but shouldnt the information be sent to my scrobbler account? is this a bug, or perhaps disabled on purpose? |

ouch! oh well, this scrobbler thing sucks more and more less  it would be a great benefit to anyone, if those doodes make their source available to the public, so everyone would be able to set up his own scrobbler server to serve his very own small group of fellowchaps. hmm.. mabye the amaroK doodes could set something like that up? infact the client side of the code is known, maybe something new could be invented? |

you speak in micarcles.. something like this actually could be done, if the mysql database could be shared with different users. it contains all you need.. "most played", etc.. unfortunately you will get in trouble, i fear, if you rescan your collection :woohoo: a nice idea would be a second, castrated mysql database, hmm.. however, i just realized you commented scrobbler.cpp well, thx |

actually no, i wasnt commenting on scrobbler.cpp. of course one could combine the information of various users into one database. but the whole artist similarity and recommendation stuff only works because of the mass of audioscrobbler users. that\'s why it\'s the best way to go. audioscrobbler.com is under heavy reconstruction atm, so please be patient. you\'ll see it\'s worth it
