How to import a CD in amarok

Mon Nov 21, 2005 6:19 pm
Hello

I\'m trying to import all my CD collection in amarok to handle with it. My first problem is, that when I insert a CD in my IBM Thinkpad kscd will be started. Amarok is up and running but doesn\'t recognize that a new Audio CD has been inserted. So I tried with Playlist->add Media to import the tracks of the Audio CD in amarok. My problem is now that the tracks still stay there as tracks and are not recognized par example as \"Sunday bloody sunday\" from \"U2\" with the compleate information.
Is there a way to import CD, recognize them and save them to disk in a manageable way?

Thanks for support

Regards

amaroK does not support ripping tracks from within the program. You\'ll need to use another ripping program (or there may be some amaroK plugin scripts) to get the tracks off the CD and into some other format.
