Programable dynamic play

Sat Dec 10, 2005 10:18 pm
Hi,

What I\'m missing, is a programmable dynamic play. For example, now I have a mood for shanties, so I\'d like to be able to run a dynamic mode play on shanties only. Alternatively, I would like to filter out some genres. Filters might use a number of cryteria though - including path, year, genre, file name, artist, album etc.

I know, I could mimic it dragging all my shanties or rock pieces to the playlist, but it\'s not very convenient. And filtering out is even more time consuming. :(

Best regards,

(conus).

This sounds like the smart playlist functionality.

Well,

it would be, if dynamic mode actually added new songs using criteria defined in a smart playlist.

Though, in a sense, you\'re right: what is the difference between dynamic mode and a playlist consisting of (almost) all songs matching selected criteria?

Um, define a custom dynamic mode using a specified smart playlist.

Funny how you can in fact add songs to dynamic mode from selected smart playlists :)

Check out the dynamic playlist config dialog, you can select smart playlists to select from at the bottom of the listview on the left.
