Based in the comments of some osnews reader, I\'ve done the following **** mockup:
http://terra.es/personal/diegocg/amarokmockup.png Reasonement: The *main* thing people does with an audio player is listening to music: it feels *weird* that the play button and the volume and everything is at the bottom of the screen....same for the list of songs: it\'s the main thing I want to see. The rest is \"additional\" and interesting info, but additional. |

Putting the browsers onto the other side isn\'t a bad idea at all. Then when you open and close a browser the position of the playlist wouldn\'t change. Though if your correct that what part of the screen makes such a big difference, it would be bad if people didn\'t \"see\" the browser selections as well. Its very important to amaroK.
I don\'t really see the point of moving around the icons. Post edited by: eean, at: 2005/12/30 21:32

We\'ve actually tried this - browsers on the right side. There\'s a #define somewhere in the source that mxcl built in, which does just that. Let me just say it sucks

Why not to implement few amaroK configuration chekbox entries?
Browser panels on the: 1) right side 2) left side Player buttons on the: 1) top 2) bottom Everyone gets happy. |
