The first step that I would take is to re-arrange how the settings are configured in Amarok. Why are there four ways to change settings instead of a standard \"Configuration\" button where all of the settings are in one place? Maybe this is standard for Linux but coming from Windows this just looks messy to me.
AmaroK as I have seen it is all ready the best looking and easiest to use Linux program in exsistance but it would just be so much more awesome if it would have an integrated video player like Winamp does for Windows. The interface is so great I just don\'t want to leave it and use something **** like MPlayer to play my videos. One last question, does AmaroK have fullscreen 3D visualizations like Milkdrop or Geiss? If not it would be great to have some of those. |

milkdrop visualisations are working via libvisual and ProjectM...
http://amarok.kde.org/amarokwiki/index. ... ectM_HowTo note that due to current limitations with libvisual, if you want fullscreen visualisations you\'ll need to maximise the vis window before going fullscreen for a decent resolution.

Maybe the single settings buttons could stay where they are, but all settings are again collected in one place. I find it very useful to have just the settings for the collection in the collection browser for a quick configuration. But also in the preferences it is useful, for it is my custom to launch the preferences, every first time I use an application.
Or do you think it\'s confusing to have the same setting represented twice? |
