Consistency

Tue Jul 18, 2006 1:01 pm
I noticed some inconsistencies in the user interface:

- In the collection you can select multiple files with Ctrl+Click whereas in the context browser this isn't possible.
- In the context browser a single click on a song adds it to the playlist AND starts it whereas in the collection there's no way to start a song at all.

(I know that these two are different in concept but still I think this is strange because at least I'd like to have a way to accomplish everything from everywhere)
My suggestion:
single click: always appends to the playlist without starting it
STRG + single click: selects multiple files (at least in collection)
double click: adds file(s) to playlist and starts playing right away
middle click: opens a new playlist and adds files (here it would be great to have tabbed playlists)
(Actually I think the best thing would be to have an option to configure this)

- In the collection or the files view I can access "files management" (translation?) but I cannot access this in the context browser or the playlist.
- The "Play Audio-CD" Menu entry doesn't actually play the Audio-CD like it says but just loads it.

Thanks,

Tobias
