when I press next or ban it takes up to 15 seconds till the next song is played. a delay from the streeming etc. is ok, but it would be real nice to get
rid of the song I hate as fast as possible (even if that way there are some silent seconds till enough of the next title is buffered). maybe there is some
setting that can help me? I'm using (k)ubunutu 6.06 lts/dapper with amarok 1.4.1 and alsa as sound system.

also I want to thank everyone for amarok, a real great musik player and the last.fm integration totally rocks!

Yeah it annoys us too. For some reason xine decides to use a giant buffer for lastfm streams, that's why it takes so long to start, and skipping takes just as long. Gonna consult a xine dev to see what we can do.
