I'm not sure if this is POSSIBLE, and it might not be k3b that even needs to be accessed (just programs/libraries for CD burning), but it'd be awesome if you could burn selected tracks from within Amarok without loading a new program.
What more, if Amarok generates the pcm stream that makes the CD tracks, you'd eliminate the issue where Amarok can play songs that it can't burn (e.g. M4A tracks) |

Amarok is a music player, it isn't a cd burner.
its integrated with k3b to do exactly what you ask, use this integration. |

I wouldn't have brought this up if that functionality worked. Maybe k3b's default installation in ubuntu doesn't support m4a, but I couldn't burn any of my m4a tracks.

Following that reason, we wouldn't have a lot of amaroK features. "Amarok is a music player, so why would we need it to integrate with last.fm? It plays music, it doesn't send data to stupid web apps." "Amarok is a music player, so why would we bother with visualizations?" At any rate, I think an integrated burning program is a good idea. Or at least, better integration with k3b. (Would it be possible to make a cd-writing side-bar?) |

I think "invisible" CD-Burning is a great feature! All good MP3-Players have such a feature... Why not Amarok? It would be one step more to the best Music-Playing-Application in the world!!! (Of course Amareok IS the best Music-App in the World! But it would be the Best Music-App in the Universe!).

Amarok 2.0 Beta from KDE-on-Mac. |

Do you know this app?
http://kde-apps.org/content/show.php?content=14779 Maybe this could be a starting point, if not for code maybe for ideas? Bye, Val. |

I agree. Transparent k3b integration would be incredibly awesome.
