For me amarok is a nice looking player with some nice features but I am deinstalling it on a regular basis because for me it lacks some basic usabilty features :
Please make it possible to change volume and to seek forward/backward by using the cursor keys when and only when the player has focus. Right now this does not seems to be possible to configure this behaviour. You can only assign global keys to this functions which does not work for my situation. Features like seeking and changing volume are so basic that I want to control them with some easy to access and intuitive buttons like the cursor keys while listening to audio in bed from my thinkpad notebook (which has no windows key) e.g. Second thing I can not understand is why I can only access the "Statistic" menu via shortcut from the playlist and NOT from the main player window. This seems to be more like a bug because shortcut access does work via shortcut from playlist. It also would be nice for usabilty to directly access the "newest items" via shortcut. I would be very happy to see problem number one resolved while the second point is no too serious for me, thanks |
