I just restored old songs I had on a mp3 CD backup. Of course I had multiple songs from the same artist sorted in different styles, so when I switch collection view to (style -> artist) I get the same group in "unknown", "acid jazz", "other", etc.

I thought that it would be really cool if I could just drag and drop the "folder" "brand new heavies" from "unknown" to "acid jazz" and amarok would change mp3 tags for each song.  Of course that's just an example, it could work for any mp3 tag that amarok can use to group songs.

What do you think ?

on the surface this sounds like a great idea - it'd be tricky if a mistake was made though... there would have to be restrictions on exactly which tag was to be changed.
Imagine tagging your entire acid jazz collection with the same artist by mistake?
