First I'd like to say I think this program is great and my thanks to everyone more talented than myself who can contribute amarok.
My problem is that there are a ridiculous amount of genres, and if you want to load random tracks that are similar, but not necessarily in the same genre. I would like to suggest a solution that may not be too complex. If genres could be organized in a tree structure from simple descriptors such as rock, or rap to more subjective categories. Or, just adding another tag to the individual files for a general category, then using that to make smart playlists. I thought of modifying all my tracks into less specific genres but that really isn't practical. Thanks for any help.
