My mp3-collection is on a fileserver (connected via nfs) and I listen to it mostly from one of my laptop via WLAN. So if there is heavy load on the server, heavy traffic over the wireless connection or heavy load on my machine the music might stop for a few microseconds.
There is a feature I know from mplayer, where one can set a memory-cache of - lets say 20MB (for Amaraok 1MB would be enough I guess) - and the mp3-files are read to cache and played from cache. So short interruptions would not interrupt music-play. Such a feature would be cool too in Amarok otherwise : best mp3-player I ever encountered. thnx, peter |
