You sure about that? I can't recall such a feature in Amarok.

You mean drag and drop to the system tray icon? Well, it works perfectly here.
Just a guess, but I think Gnome is the troublemaker in your case mimoklepes. Has it worked in Gnome before? I'm using Amarok 1.4.6 with KDE 3.5.7. Hm. Thought I was using the latest version. Could be something with 1.4.7... I think I should stop guessing.

I rather suspect it's to do with a gnome update than with the Amarok 1.4.6 -> 1.4.7 jump. AFAIK there have been some changes in the way the gnome tray works.

yes, this was a great feature, i never had a version of amarok with this feature working, but the only version i ever had was 1.4.7
![]() another feature for the try icon i would love would be "next/previous track" via clicking the 4th/5th-mousebuton onto the icon like play/pause with the 2nd MB Amarok is the best mediaplayer ever!!! Thank you! ![]() Moses |

It doesn't work for you either in 1.4.7?
You know about ctrl+scroll up/down, right?

Aaah, you're right. I've just tested this in KDE and it works perfect. It was working in Gnome back then, but I can't remember the version. I guess it was in Ubuntu 6.06 or 6.10, that means Gnome 2.14 or 2.16. I think I will post a gnome bug (or try to find an existing one). edit: I've filed this bug: http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=502940

no, exactly the same bug (obviously a "feature" of gnome) as mimoklepes linked to
d'oh! no i didn't know this ![]() but i think it wasn't a big deal to make it work with MB4 and MB5 i think this was even more intuitive =) |
