Hi
A couple of times now, I've made a playlist, marked alle the songs and dragged it to my media device (mp3-player or phone) only to find that it MOVES the files, it dosen't COPY. Some people might like the move feature, but personally I've had to transfer my music back in order not to loose anything a couple of times.. Perhaps a confirm dialog, Wanna copy or move? Thx for making Amarok |

have you tried using the right-click menu's "transfer to device"?

Sure have, and it works fine
But thats not really the issue. This is not (necessarily) a bug, or a support request, it a suggestion. I think (as in my opinion) that drag from amarok to a folder on an external drive should copy the files, not move them. This is also the default in, for instance, Gnome. When you mount another disk and drag files to it, they are copied, mot moved. I just think that amarok should replicated that behaviour. |

This isn't an intended feature afaik. I've never heard of anyone else with this problem at all, and my copy of amarok certainly copies. Methinks you've got a bug going on here

AFAIK drag and drop has always meant move... I have no idea why GNOME acts like that, it seems pretty counterintuitive

Drag & drop to another part of the same device, yes. But drag and drop to another device, no.
Assuming drag & drop is easy and handy, why would you want to delete a mp3 from your hard disk when you upload it to a mp3-player? I would like to have a master list at my hard disk and keep a selection on my mp3-player. Thus make a copy... |

Maybe its coz i have kubuntu, but when i click a song drag it down to the "devices" tab and into my device it adds it to the transfer list and doesn't move the song? is that the same way you're transferring?
