I just finished like a year long project, got all the tags in line with last.fm and musicbrainz   If there wasn't record on last.fm or musicbrainz I put them into (fix later dir) or in "no musicbrainz" within collection.  Was so nice to finish

I couldn't have done it without the Amarok editor.  If I needed to change tags, it was on a per album basis, usually.  I know that all I have to do is change the comment tag on a mp3 to "." to make Amarok update it's tags for that track in it's sql database   All hail amarok, being used as it wasn't designed simply because noone else has bothered to make a tag editor in any way as simple   And bow to amarok too

I probably have a few suggestions, but unless someone asks for such no reason to give out.  Just more happy I have retagged 27k+ songs with amarok + musicbrainz picard   Looks like amarok moving away from what works, but still gotta love him...hail amarok!!!  removing extremely usable fields and asking for input and making asking for input a pariah activity.  Hmnm  I would think they'd be asking for more usable fields instead of removing and saying "this is innovation"  hehe.  Why can't I sort by selected embedded mp3 tag or amarok or by labels??  Oh ya, cause amarok wasn't intenended ever to be used such.  Why did I use Amarok to sort 27k files...cause it rocked.  Your opinion is stupid, ok?  ADD functionality, and stop REMOVING functionality.  Don't listen to the gnome crybabies.  More functionality is good.  There are so many things to add to this app.  DO NOT EVER LISTEN TO GNOME NAYSAYERS SAYING STUPID IS BETTER.

If you have a problem with my opinion, recode amarok to be exclusively gnome.  OK?  Don't assume all your users are like you, wishing for a gnome or apple world where if it's not in the options I'm obviously too stupid to understand it!  Amarok should be the #1 play utility for EVERYONE not just those people who share your outlook.  Please announce that you are making amarok a gnome app if you seriously disagree.
