During playback radio from shoutcast.com (I have a file .pls with my favorites stations ) I can't see what playing (artist, name of song and name of station), but I can see URL to station .
How Can I fix it? On amarok 1.4.4 works good. |

It should work. Try switching your sound backend to Xine. You can do so from the 'sound' section of systemsettings.

I just upgraded from Ubuntu 8.10 / Amarok 1.4 to Ubuntu 9.04 / Amarok 2.02, and am having the same issue.
Instead of displaying the current song / artist being played over an internet radio station, I just see the numerical URL. NOT USEFUL for telling what is in my playlist. Re sound prefs, I see NO way, in any menu, to pick Xine or some other engine. Amarok 1.4 used to have engine choices, but 2.02 doesn't, at least what comes with Ubuntu 9.04. Ubuntu system choices for sound are variations of OSS, ALSA, or PulseAudio. The Xine libraries are installed, though. |

OK, I've got radio playlist information back now. The missing ingredient might have been
phonon-backend-xine which did NOT install by default. |
