Hello,
this thing would make amarok much more usable for me: My music is mounted with nfs from a server. The problem ist, that if the server is shut down, or the music directory on it is not browseable, the whole collection is gone. I think a solution for this would be (like in a lot synchronization tools done) to deactivate the collection update if the whole collection files are gone..... What do you think? The way it is now the only chance i have is to update the collection manually... otherwise i have to read in the whole collection (which is very big) if the folder on the server gets offline. Thanks Stolzi |

Sounds like you're using a very outdated version of amarok.
This is fixed long ago. m0nk

No, i never tried it again because i was afraid to loose my collection Excuse me.
Do you know how it is implemented exactly? Exactly the way i mentioned it? |

Ok, i tried it now in Amarok 2.1. Could it be, that this is not implemented in the moment? Because my whole collection was gone, because the collection was not browseable for 5 minutes.

Haven't tried to disconnect, while amarok is running. If I start amarok without my external disk connected, it works, OK, no covers, because not available, but no data loss.
