Dear amarok developers:

Thanks for the good work, 2.2 from svn with the flexible layout is clearly the right direction which will get me to switch from 1.4.

However, there is a minor usability issue and some wishes which are open.

Regarding the playlist:  In amarok 1.4 the search box was focussed by default when the user started typing. This is not the case anymore in amarok 2.  If you click somewhere in the playlist and then start typing, nothing happens.

As it seems that nothing else has the default input focus when typing, could you change this to the search box?

Of course the same could be applied to the context / playlist browser (left bar). As soon as the user clicks around there and then starts to type, the input should go to the search box.

Another small question regarding the search box:  It is great that we have filtering back, is it as well planned that we get  AND / OR logic syntax there?  Would be great, and it already exists in the collection browser.

Thanks, keep up the good work

Fuchs

Edit: *sigh* Just saw the usability forum a bit below, must have been blind. Mods, you can move it there of course. Thanks :)
