Context view applets layout

Thu Jul 30, 2009 9:19 pm
Hi all,
I know you must be tired of all the criticism but here is some more:
-Frame inside frame, space is wasted and doesn't look clean. eg: albums applet has an frame and inside that frame the is another frame for the albums just keep the tile separated
-Albums applet, it can barely display one album (a LOT of wasted space)
-almost every applet has a title, I don't see how this can help
-album applet has fixed size
-no resizing of applets
I've attached a **** mockup.

ps: I don't like my mockup and context view is smaller than the default.
ps2: I hope this is a useful feedback

OFFTOPIC Questions:
When moving an track over the context view, there was a "queue" option. Why was it removed? Is there going to be an option to move to thrash?
Is there an easy and fast way to move to trash tracks?
When will it be possible to have a column playlist with sorting?
Applet with top tracks from current artist? And suggested artists (last.fm)?

OFFTOPIC Praising:
The three sections concept really works for me. Nice!
I want to thank all the Amarok people for the great work that has been done all these years.
Amarok really made me rediscover my music (and new music :-)  ).
Keep up the great work and don't let the gnome guys steal Amarok's "King of all media players" title.

Non-resizeable applets, especially the album applet, is really nasty.
And the titles are really ugly, too.
But everything flows, so maybe one day?
