If i have music directory on USB disk amarok remove all "nonexists" songs from playlist. And after every start KDE i must fill my playlist again.

In amarok 1.x these unavaible song were colored grey, and after pluged USB disk changed to black and ready to play.

This is main reason why i downgrade to version 1.4.

You could begin to file a wish on http://bugs.kde.org/enter_bug.cgi?product=amarok :)

Running Kubuntu 22.10 with Plasma 5.26.3, Frameworks 5.100.0, Qt 5.15.6, kernel 5.19.0-23 on Ryzen 5 4600H, AMD Renoir, X11
FWIW: it's always useful to state the exact Plasma version (+ distribution) when asking questions, makes it easier to help ...

If i understand right, you should NOT add your usb as a folder to main collection, but add it as a new one as in http://nhnfreespirit.kollide.net/pics/a ... ctions.png Samsung/ipod/cd is parallel to main collection.

This way when device is offline, songs will be 'disabled'. As far as i know, full implementation of managing multiple collections is not yet fully done.
