@Elv13: Solid does not have udev support at this time, what you are likely seeing is either cached data ( if you only just removed HAL ) or HAL is still on your system.

Note that Solid is an abstraction layer between various systems on various operating systems, and does not have any capability to add items directly to it, they must be added by the backend.

amarok stopping playing anything a while ago, waited till a newer build 2.2.2-58.1 became available now, upgraded,,,still doesn't play.
now i hate banshee even more, and why does it play ?
there isn't a pulse audio as theres sound coming out the speakers..

Well, I strongly suggest you check your settings, since it works for everybody else


Running Kubuntu 22.10 with Plasma 5.26.3, Frameworks 5.100.0, Qt 5.15.6, kernel 5.19.0-23 on Ryzen 5 4600H, AMD Renoir, X11
FWIW: it's always useful to state the exact Plasma version (+ distribution) when asking questions, makes it easier to help ...
