Hi,
Following Mamarok's advice, let's start a new thread. So, Mamarok, you were mentionning performance issues ? Anything that could be related to your configuration ? My graphic card is a cheap Intel 965, so doubt this would explain the performance gap I seem to observe with your setup... As I previously mentionned, my collection size is about 18GB and it still goes OK. Any compositing environment that would get in the way ? Or maybe any video of how it behaves at your end ? (many questions I know, but I really would like to tackle the problem) |

My graphics card is a Radeon HD 3650, all compositing is off. Collection is 10.000+ tracks.
Unfortunately I am not at home right now and that's where my collection (still) is, so testing needs to wait another week or two, as I am currently moving.
Running Kubuntu 22.10 with Plasma 5.26.3, Frameworks 5.100.0, Qt 5.15.6, kernel 5.19.0-23 on Ryzen 5 4600H, AMD Renoir, X11
FWIW: it's always useful to state the exact Plasma version (+ distribution) when asking questions, makes it easier to help ... |

tried compiling and though it seems functional (as best as I can tell) the display is tiny
see http://simplest-image-hosting.net/jpeg-0-cover Bug was submitted and patch was submitted in git, boy that was fast https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=267492 |

Well, I already had to fix it in my local env, that's why.
Do not over-estimate my fixing speed |

By the way (or not at all...), anyone with heavy openGL programming skills willing to implement an opengl renderer in pictureflow.cpp ?
I think it's only missing very basic opengl instructions to render the slides using opengl, but unfortunately, I'm not familiar with openGL at all... |
