Tabbed playlists in amarok

Sat Apr 16, 2011 5:53 am
I think this a very old demand, but I feel to bring it to front again. Keeping up tabbed playlists would help a lot to avoid too much switching and clicking in Media Sources.

yes, it would be such an improvement. For example I'd like to have one general playlist(dynamic), one where I can put the songs I'd like on my portable device(btw, this would be awesome to: transfer the songs that are in a playlist directly to a device, like in amarok1), and maybe some others were I could put songs into, that randomly appear on the dynamic-playlist and i would like to order for occasions(partays,...)

Seriously, I am switching to linux 24/7 and so far I am very impressed in openSUSE
and I even loved amarok at first.
But no tabbed playlist? What year is this?

I dont want to save and load playlists. Or even worse create one every time I want some...
I want to just create playlists and have them there in the gui for as long as I please, and switch between them seamlessly with a single click to get to the songs I feel like listening to

imagine someone forcing you to browse the web in a single tabbed browser, no tabs, you can save sites to bookmarks, why would you want tabs, right?

seems I gonna have to go with clementine, but damn heres to amaroks superior looks and feel
