Hey guys. Sometime ago I worked on a new logo for Amarok but left it behind because I got pretty busy. The picture you're going to see is only half done but it will be better. Please help me make it better.

No sorry, we cannot and will not change the logo completely, for a variety of reasons. The wolf alone is btw not the complete logo, but more the icon. See the top right corner of this page for the logo.
We are however currently discussing subtle tweaks to the program icon, either for certain platforms only, or for all platforms. But these are really subtle tweaks, which keep the general look of the icon.

Augh. Amarok is one of the *extremely few* open source projects I know that actually has a decent icon and logo *already*.
Move on. Nothing to see here. |

10 points to the first developer who gets one of the following (from the open source house of logo horrors) tattoed in a highly visible place:
Kdenlive http://clonezilla.org/screenshot/?op=sh ... imothy.png Clonezilla (even the forum software refuses to show this one) Audacity GNU (yes, your software is probably licensed under this logo.... *shudder*) ...and lastly the one that sums up my reaction to the above logos / icons nicely: Lutris So who's up for the first tattoo? Nuno... Save us! |

Seriously? You think no one would get the GNU tattooed on themselves? I guess you owe points to this guy: And also this guy: Looks like you owe people lots of points. Now pay up!

That's too awesome;D In my opinion Amarok's logo is fine. It's simple and well done. I see no point in changing a logo for anything without very good reason. Or else it does more harm than good in the long run. |
