Hey,
I found another bug. Using the RC2 of Krita on Windows 7 (64 bit) the Wacom ArtPen's rotation isn't recognized. It works well in other applications and also in Krita RC2 on the Ubuntu 12.04 Beta2. By the way: It would be cool for 2.5 if the brush outline could rotate/change size/etc. with the ArtPen's rotation and tilt while NOT painting. That way users can see where exactly the brush stroke will go. Best regards, Joseph |

Hm... If rotation doesn't work on Windows, then that might be a limitation of the wacom integration in Qt on Windows -- on the Krita side there's nothing special that we do. I haven't got access to the artpen currently -- Lukas and Cyrille have the project's art pen, but they don't have windows...

Hi all,
Here are three problems I have on the Windows version : - I can't see on which layer I'm working. When I select a layer a blue rectangle appears below it in the dock, but as sson as the cursor leaves the dock, it desappears. (But hopefully the layer is still selected ^^) - The OpenGL isn't working. Well, I don't have any crash but the canvas not refreashing at all after the option is activated. - It's impossible to download ressources. If I try to download a brush for example, it says "Unknown Open Collaboration Service API error (103)" Hope this helps P.S. : I don't know if it is useful, but this is the configuration I'm working on : - Intel Core i7 2600k - 3.4GHz - 8Go Memory - NVidia GeForce GTX 570 - 1280Mo - Windows 7 64 bits EDIT : I just read that the openGL canvas wasn't on the windows version for the moment, so well, seems obvious that it didn't work ^^ |

It's sad that working with Palettes still doesn't work.
It crashes if you want to open a palette - I wish I could import my own. |

I'll try to make tomorrow a windows bug day... but we have to find a way to make windows development self-sustainable.

I do have Windows on partition, but not the development environment. I can try to reproduce with the Windows installer, if you fill the bug report, just assign or CC it to me. Cheers
Daylight is coming...

Yeah, testing with the windows installer should be fine.

Hi,
I would very much like to give Krita 2.4 a try, but I can´t even start it! I downloaded the "Krita only" msi and it installed fine, but when I try to start the application it says "cannot find entry point"!? Is that a bug or do I have to install something else to run it on windows? greetings Joachim |

I think it is neither a bug nor a sign that you need to install something else. I suspect it is a conflict with an iconv.dll that's in your windows' system directory (but I am not sure). Some open source applications (and even some proprietary) applications install iconv.dll globally, leading to conflicts. To get to the bottom of this, people who experience this conflict will have to dig in, it's not something a primarily linux-oriented developer can do remotely.
We have a very, very limited resources for testing on windows, basically two Windows 7 64 bit machines, and they don't show this conflict. |
