Why do you say this? I have been using Ubuntu for several years and it has worked with just about every piece of hardware I have plugged in -- audio, MIDI devices, graphics, Wacom tablets, printers, etc etc etc. I would like to find details on installing binaries for Krita 2.5 beta but am using git master right now, unless I should be switching git repos now...

I hope that distributions will make the packages available pretty soon in their testing repositories, but I haven't got any confirmations yet. As soon as that happens, I'll update the download page on krita.org |

Sry for bumping an older thread but I had a similar question - how do I find Krita 2.5.1(or .2)? I have 2.5.0 installed and since a few of the bugs where fixed in 2.5.1 version I thought I should download that one. But I can't find it. I have ubuntu 12.04 and I did that backport thingy (I am such a novice at this btw) but all that pops up in Software Center is 2.5.

Looks like they didn't update the 12.04 version. It seems only Krita for 12.10 got the 2.5.2 update.
