It's difficult to know what is the logo of Krita.
So, maybe it's time to work on it. I'll add 2 propositions right after this 'header' post. Feel free to discuss , and add yours. Under , visual logo/icon/title related to Krita , from search engine : |

Here are my 2 propositions for the moment :
1. 2. |

Yes.... I like the second idea quite a bit. The colors will give us trouble, though, they seem more or less the same as those the foundry uses, for e.g. mari: http://www.thefoundry.co.uk/products/mari/. The first idea is a bit too close to the old koffice loge to my taste.

Oh, and you missed one, too -- the Krita Sketch logo.
This one is used in some places on its own, too: |

deevad suggestions looks good, but the issue is that it is has the exact opposite style of what other KDE applications are using for their icons.

Yes, the "looking-like" TheFoundry product was done on purpose. ( not enough subtle = fail ).
@Spell : True, KDE icons and Logos are a bit more illustrative and less 'graphic'. About the sketch icon/logo @boud : I love it , really , but I thought it was reserved for Krita Sketch only. It's really pro, nice designed, and representative. Congratz to Animtim on it. If it can be adopted as a logo + icon for the desktop version and studio it would be a good news. I would totally agree with this. ( also , the 'hue' of color in circle could be different for Krita , Krita Studio , Krita Sketch ) With a "Ubuntu bold" font under ; it look really classy , imo :

Cool thread, I agree about it..
Thanks Deevad for your comments on the Krita sketch icon, of course if it can be used for Krita desktop too I would be happy of it (I'll propose some color variations.. I like your "Krita Studio" version, but less the "Krita" one with yellow ) BTW your proposals look cool too, though I agree with what is said above (too different from KDE style...) |

Oh cool Animtim.
yes, it's a lovely work , and for the icon and for a logo. I would be happy if 2.6 communication could start with it. Cool for the color variation, and sure feel free to come with a better version of color : mine was a speed mockup just to proove the concept. |

I think the studio one with the stars is really nice -- maybe we can combine two ideas and put some fire in the desktop icon circle?

So here is my different color version for Krita desktop, using Cyan/Magenta/Yellow values:
If everyone agree for it, I'll export it in all sizes and upload it to master tomorrow. |

@Animtim : You have my +1 for this one. Well done.
I like it as a new official icon AND also as a new logo. For sure the CMY is a good idea and representative of Krita abilities. |

If we're talking icons, can you (as in anyone with suggestions) post them in smaller sizes as well, e.g. 22x22 px and 16x16 px.

I like 3 logos for different Kritas. Simple shapes and feeling of art.
I also like blue logo of mascot. This logo is graphically cool. But you decide guys. I'm just a humble user.... |

I like the idea, the icon is the one that looks best on the Ubuntu launcher...
I also noticed that there is a orange squirrel logo on the git master installation... What is that? Some time ago there were quite a few inconsistencies with the Krita visual identity... It's good to see that they are being fixed. |
