Hi!
Akademy is the place where the KDE community gets together. This year the venue is Bilbao. Kenny Dufus, one of the organizers came up with the brilliant idea to show off Krita's prowess by putting up some big posters of artwork made with Krita (as well as a continuously looping clip of videos made with Kdenlive). We've checked the cost of printing to A1, and that's doable for six posters This is a great opportunity to showcase Krita, and the artwork of all the artists here in the community! There are some ground rules, though: * the art needs to be (mainly) done with Krita * creative commons license * gratuitous violence or overly sexist pictures can't be used So, what I wanted to discuss is, how do go about this? Shall we do a contest? Or just collect artwork and then choose the best of the crop? |

Well, it will take a few days to new version to be in all repositories, with that on mind perharps there's time to wait until it is available on most OS platforms and then call for a contest, maybe is a good chance to promote it even among non-linux users ouside the forum comunity, then the only problem is that people here in the forum is very cooperative and will be happy with just having their work in Akademy and helping krita, but people outside the comunity might want something more aside from that.

Yes, we could start a good promo campaign about this idea in a week or so.
