About https://krita.org/en/item/krita-in-the- ... an-update/

I agree with Krita's interpretation of this policy (I think any sane person would). Pragmatically, I understand why you ended up changing the description. But it may be a good idea to see if someone with the required expertise can look at this as well. Because if clause 10.8.5 is not conditional on 10.8, the Windows Store could also force you to stop distributing Krita outside the Windows Store, if you interpret 10.8.5 that way. In essence, they could force any app in the Windows Store to be exclusively distributed through the Windows Store.

Of course, I think this clause 10.8.5 should be conditional on 10.8. This makes much more sense, as it would be ridiculous to allow the Windows Store to force exclusive distribution for apps, especially open-source apps. But someone has misinterpreted this policy (either accidentally or maliciously) here, so it might be best to have them clarify this part of the policy before it causes bigger problems. And if this wasn't misinterpreted, they should rewrite their policy to make this more clear. I am not a lawyer but it seems like a policy that's written in a way that most people would interpret it differently from what you intend, is not a good policy.

I hope something can still be done about this. I tried to keep my outrage about the Windows Store's abuse of power to a minimum. :P

I've tried to bring this up both with the Store people and with the people who originally put Krita in the Windows store, but I'm totally unable to get the point across. Basically, "if your app does X, then your app shouldn't do Y" can be morphed into "your windows store listing shouldn't do Y".

To clarify, are you saying that this "morphing" is the correct interpretation of the policy? Or is the point you're trying to get across to correct the misunderstanding that this "morphing" is acceptable?

What I'm saying is that the way Microsoft interprets this policy doesn't fit with my understanding of English.

Just wanted to drop by to say that I'm incredibly happy with the ability to turn the canvas with finger gestures you implemented in the nightly version!

Krita 5 is amazing. Please could you stabilize brushes, layers and main tools so that it can be stable to use? I like it so much.
