Hello guys, Here is my story. I found Krita to be my primary 2d tool. It was amazing software but it missed essential Offset Tool for making seamless textures. As I wanted this tool to be in Krita I did my request: - I went to the Krita's bugs report site and put my bug/report https://bugs.kde.org/enter_bug.cgi?product=krita - Then i went to Krita IRC and talked to boud, Lukas, DmitryK, deevead, slangkamp about my request. Online Chat Room is here http://krita.org/chat - Then i got some mails from krita's bugtracker that Lucas did the Offset tool. It was really amazing! If there are some professionals who wants some features to be in Krita, so just do what i did! And we all make Krita Better and professional! Don't hesistate to talk to developers. And don't forget to donate some money for them. They do great job! http://krita.org/foundation Thanks to Lukas and all devs. Paul Geraskin. |

I'm not sure putting it that way is a good idea. It gives the misleading impression that all you have to do is ask for a feature, bug the developers enough, and the developers will implement it Immediately.
In the case of the offset tool, the developers were able to implement it quickly. But not everything can be coded so fast. So, users may start bugging the developers a lot, then get upset when the feature hasn't been coded 2 days later. You were exceptionally lucky, you know, the two things you wanted were all implemented quickly, but not everybody has been that lucky. I suggest just explaining the offset tool in a paragraph or two. You know, "the offset tool can be accessed from [here], and it will [insert description]. This is useful to produce seamless textures." |

More interest, more donations. Actually, i don't care which way Boud take... I explained my experience. I talked to my buddy. He is a painter and he uses gimp and Krita. I told him that i can talk to the developers. And he said that he hesitates to talk the devs even if he finds a bug... My message was addressed to such persons like my buddy. |

I think they needed a little explanation on how the tool impacts krita artist environment
I took the liberty to write something about it in my blog here http://colorathis.wordpress.com/2013/03 ... fset-tool/ My examples are very rough, but luckily they will help the community.
