With the success of open shot kickstarter http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/421 ... f=category
How about a Krita kickstarter/indiegogo |

In general we can do that and we already did that in the past. We also still have some sponsored work going on. It depends on finding a developer with some free time to put something up and currently most of us are very busy.

I'm not sure that as a european based foundation/project we actually have access to indiegogo or kickstarter. We are working on a new donation campaign, though, for Dmitry, because the currenly available funding will run out in a few months, so stay tuned.

You can on idiegogo. Would love krita to have more features for animatics/storyboarding kinda like this https://www.toonboom.com/products/storyboard-pro

Basic animation support might even be done as a GSoC project, but that hasn't been decided yet. For more advanced animation/storyboard features that is better delegated to more specialised applications which do at better job.

Oh, that looks like a lot of fun! It's going to be hard to integrate in an application like krita, though. It probably would be easier to start an application with a 3d canvas and then integrate Krita's brush engine.

I think this is bloating software with unnecessary features. Krita is damn good at what it does - for 3D there is Blender or Sketchup, both free. I would rather see some perspective tool improvements. Take a look at this - looks relatively easy to implement. Frankly I am surprised this isnt standard in todays painting apps.. http://epicgames.com/community/2012/11/ ... ic-friday/ |

I don't think that it may be a software with unnecessary feature.
It's just that Krita is not intended to be a animation software. |

It's just that Krita is not intended to be a animation software. So,its beyond the scope of Krita to have this feature integrated in it. |
