Hey, thanks a lot! It will be a pleasure, especially now that I am running Krita both in windows and linux - great to experiment with the possibilities krita has.
I think that the best promotion is to show what has been done with it, instead of just what one could do. Therefore I try to implement it as much as possible into my workflow for actual projects. A nice idea would be to decide on a couple of slogans and create short process videos with thematic content. For example, we take the sci fi girl and compress a 1-2 minute spot. In the end the message/narrator reads "krita, unleash your creativity...wherever you are!" Other ideas? |

This is a really good idea! It can be awesome for doing some marketing, we are thinking in more ideas to develop this part of Krita marketing, I will post the ideas here when we have something more!

@Tepee:
Don't want to be nitpicky, neither do i dislike your proposal (quite the opposite), but i am almost sure there is no plural for "Software" in english, so "... with open softwares" is wrong. Please prove me wrong though. |

Argh ! you're right ! "Je suis désolé pour cette erreur". As french is my natural language, some strange mistakes can be done like this. Imagine, I plan to have a T-shirt with this visual, and if I would have it like that, a guy could say to me : "hey, buddy, there is a mistake on your T-shirt..." It would be quite disappointing. So thank you for your review, and here are the correct versions : 750px version 1500px version Full resolution. License for this work : For paternity, thank you to mention "Author : Tepee, http://www.tepee.me"

The event of grouping up of the artists can generate some good outcomes. This will be an opportunity to know better about other's works.

This is great, I will contribute as soon as I find some time to finish a couple of personal works (who are desperately screaming for justice among terrifying project deadlines.)
By the way, what do I need to do in order to submit an artwork for Krita gallery or Krita shop? However, as I said before: It will be great to show Krita used also in commercial works. At the moment I am creating a series of videos with the painting process of illustrations for a board game, called "Stack & Attack". This is the link to the first video on youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DRcTAJHYbY8 What's more, I think it would be a great idea to include a special gallery in Krita's main site, displaying a strict selection of commercial artworks made with Krita, and possibly videos and links to projects where Krita was used in the workflow. In my case, the game designer/publisher was very positive about the video and for displaying illustrations in the Krita website. |
