Hi to all!
Chinkal and me are looking for artists who want to participate in the merchandise by giving us permission for using their work. We are looking for at the gallery, deviant, google images.. but if you want to create something new or give us permission, please feel free to do it! We want to show all the art that our users make and show the possibilities that Krita has for all making beautiful merchandise! Thanks to all |

Hi! I'd be happy to show my stuff done in Krita.
All my artwork is here http://www.flickr.com/photos/yurifidelis and here http://yurifidelis.deviantart.com/ I think all paintings use CC licenses, in any case my email is contato.yurifidelis@gmail.com and sometimes I'm around in the Krita IRC. |

Ok I did some kind of Tshirt print/Sticker for the shop (if you want it). I have a larger version of it AAAAAND I'm gonna add some text in the lower part of the circle (probably "Open Source, Open Skies" or something). Sort of like a badge or something but with a flying tux. Hope you like it

Thanks Jens!
Sure, We'd love to use it! this will look great in the form of stickers, tee-shirt print, mouse-mat etc.. The depiction is very interesting, as is the case with all of your artworks! If you could mail me in larger resolution after adding the text, it would be great! I'll get to you with the details via mail.. |

Ok so I had an idea to take classic works of art that are easily recognizable and make sketchy versions of them with the signature right-click color/brush-picker above. This is just a dummy attempt as a kind of proof of concept. What do you guys think?

Oh and the "Everything starts from scratch" slogan thing was just something I picked out at random since it fitted. The idea being making like three to five of these.

You're a genius Jens! Such a great idea and the slogan too! I'd say go with it! This will appeal to a larger number of people too(an added plus)...
Also, I understand that the sketch is rough but I think if we include a dragon and a Krita logo both in the same image, it may take away the attention from the main concept... though I may be wrong to say so.. |

Love artwork BUT the slogan... It kind of gives idea that Krita is program for sketching. Would be nice to show that with Krita you go from sketch to finished masterpiece. What do you think?

I agree with Nezumi. It's snappy, but from sketch to masterpiece sounds more positive?
Maybe it's an idea to take the idea further, that sketches become fully alive and colorful paintings, like MC Escher's Reptiles? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reptiles_(M._C._Escher) |

Thanks for the great feedback!
Ok the slogan: I chose this one over "from sketch to masterpiece" simply because the latter exists in too many marketing schemes and has become a bit of a cliché at this point. So it wouldn't really function. I thought about whether or not to point out that its more than sketching but I have yet to figure out a good way to do it and still stick to the theme. The point was that it would be confident and cocky - "Leonardo Da Vinci used Krita to make Mona Lisa" or "Der Stijl used Krita" or "Caspar David Friedrich used Krita" and at the same time point out that all great art starts with a sketch and Krita being a "from skratch illustration program" is for artists. Combine classic art with computer sketching (the cyan and magenta doodles). I also wanted to poke a little fun at classic art with notes-to-self. In the Der Stijl one I thought a group of suggested cheesy-titles all being crossed out in anger with only "composition in Red, Blue and Yellow" left. Or with the Swing I thought a collection of small thumbnails would be great to point out the changes to the painting that happened (from basically "naked lady on swing being pushed by the archbishop of Paris" to "dressed woman throwing of her shoe with guy looking under her dress pushed by half-obscured random priest") I thought about that from-sketch-to-fully-done thing too. But that too has been in allot of marketing schemes and sort of played its role and it wasn't as cocky and raw. Not so "in your face" as half-assed blurry sketches in magenta/cyan with stupid notes from the artist. I've been thinking of adding a time annotation to it, like "Studio in Florens 4 pm"

Hello to all,
here is my proposed contribution for the Krita webshop. I would see it on stickers or tee-shirt print. I mentioned 2 logos, Krita and Inkscape, because I used the 2 and I think it is fair to mention it. What do you think about the result ? (you can click on the piture to see it bigger) To have the full resolution, click here. License for this work : For paternity, thank you to mention "Author : Tepee, http://www.tepee.me"
