Hi.

Modo is coming for Linux. I've had a licence from ages back and I'm intending to upgrade it to use Modo on linux. I also use Blender. At present I'm bogged down in learning Modo 701. Due to this I'm lacking time to actually get some work done and utilise Krita in this work. However, I came across this tutorial video by Scott Robertson:

It could be done in Blender. Blender also has the "cartoon" type renderer. It's not that difficult just find any tutorial than explains Blender's particles for distributing objects or I can tell you how to do that. Then take to Krita. I thought it was a great technique if anyone wants to try it. Also, Wings3d is the app to create the models if you don't have any because Wings3d is great. Yes, a bit of learning needed but I think it's cool to use some 3D as a starting place.
