I think the new icons are looking slightly blurry on light background.

That's not the new icons. I worked on it to fix the halo / and bluryness ; you might try to update your version. |

Yeah, very nice new icons
I just refreshed my icons (if you keep having old ones, delete the KDE icon-cache with " sudo rm -R /var/tmp/kdecache-your_username/icon-cache.kcache ") and so now I see the two move-into-group and move-out-of-group icons have been interchanged. I'm not sure if that was intended, but it looks quite misleading: now the one with arrow pointing outside the folder does move into group, and the one pointing inside the folder does move out of group. Thit really should be the other way, as it was before. |

Yes, it was intended, I made it ( graphically ) only after discussing about it on IRC with other artist. There is two interpretations : Exemple : Removing from the folder , arrow --> 1) One can see an arrow going off the folder, your case. then pressing --> will remove the layer BUT ! the layer will jump in the stack in this direction <-- That's a problem, and that's misleading for me. 2) One can see the movement of the layer offset in the stack. That's what was choosen. then pressing --> make the layer moves in same direction , going 'inside' the stack going from left to right an arrow --> make sens to make the layer 'in' the group. and this <-- remove the layer from the group. The other way around is illogical to me, but I'm sure a bit of work on the top on the icons can improve it and make 1) and 2) happy. |

hmm, I don't get the "movement of the layer stack" as this movement is up/down, not left nor right.
Also the layer to go inside the group can be either above or under it in the stack, and the same applies for move out can go above or under the group depending on which is closest from the layer.. So it really doesn't make sense. |

There is a "left / right" movement, and the arrows as they are right now are logical with it. Or I have a serious local bug; and A / B and C should be displayed equally |

Ha right, now I see which left/right movement you're refering to, it appears better with recursive groups.
Then a simple easy quick fix would be to interchange again the files, and then mirror the icons files so the arrows are in the right direction. |

Ok I opened a "Design Wanted" issue in the Visual Design Group area... and also noted that all work had to be proof checked by the Krita Community and Devs of course
viewtopic.php?f=285&t=119794 The idea being that its just this kinda project that I think a lot of people like to sink their teeth into, the more the merrier etc.

I have a couple of UI suggestions:
1. Please copy the one of most awesome features from MyPaint - ability to hover over a menu command with a mouse and press a keystroke or a key and set up a shortcut that way. 2. Another thing that would be cool to copy form MyPaint - is tabs for brush sets and ability to copy one brush from one set to another by drag and dropping. But I imagine that it would be harder to implement. Thanks for all you work!

You can set up shortcuts for all actions in all KDE apps by right-clicking the menu entry and then clicking "Configure shortcut".
I'm working on the KDevelop IDE.

Oh, cool! Thanks! I remembered another thing - it is hard to see which brush preset is currently selected as highlight color is too subtle. |

You are completly right! I wonder why nobody before noticed it. For me it is the same, so there should be another color to mark!!! Besides, I would suggest to make (at last) something like "brush history" to see several brushes I used recently. |

It uses the system highlight color. So if you think it's too light, you can choose another color scheme.
