Does Krita support the wacom artmarker? It is a stylus with a big flat tip for intuos and cintiq, which recognises pressure, tilt and also rotation.
Is there someone who owns an artmarker and can confirm that it recognises the rotation feature? thanks |

Yes, krita supports the art pen
The Krita project actually used to have two of them, one is currently at Lukas' place, while the guy having the other one lost it during his move. The rotation input sensor works with it. |

I don't have an artmaker, but I can say the rotation sensor is available in the brush settings, so theorically it should work.
EDIT: ha good, boudewijn answered faster and better |

Update:
I just got my art marker, and although it works fine, Krita does not respond to the rotation of the stylus. Perhaps I am doing something wrong in the settings: I choose a non rectangular preset, and in the rotation tab I choose "rotation". The tip doesn't respond to the rotation of the stylus. Any ideas? Note: I am using the new wacom Intuos pro , which is using the new stylus technology which was introduced in Intuos 4 and all the later models. But as far as I can tell, this should not affect the program behaviour, since all the other functions are working great. |

Well... It _should_ work. I know it _used_ to work -- but right now, only Lukas has an art pen to test with, so I cannot check at the moment.

Thanks for the quick reply. It recognizes rotation in a way, because every now and then I get a couple of random brush tips that are rotated.
If I can help in some way with this issue, please let me know. Is Lucas reachable in some way? |

He's on irc. Lukas has promised he'll do some testing on Saturday.

An update on the rotation feature with the latest build so far (2.7.9.11):
Rotation is recognized, but: 1- The tip rotates like crazy even when I am not moving the stylus at all. This is fixed by moving the percentage slider all the way to 0.1%, and then I notice that the rotation goes towards the opposite direction. Logically this can be easily solved by manipulating the curve. But: 2- If I change the curve in any way, krita stops recognizing stylus rotation unless I restart the program. This happens only for the specific feature I changed. For example: I have rotation set to "rotation", I change the curve and it stops working for the rest of the session. But if I go to size and set it to rotation, it works - except if I change the curve here as well. |

I've ordered an extra art pen for the project, which should arrive today. There have been some changes, like the brush outline tracking rotation and the addition of true fuzzy rotation -- let's see whether those fixes caused breakage.

Awesome!
Again, let me know if I can help with this in some way. |
