Hello all!
Listen. I'm just an artist. I know nothing about code, or Krita's ins and outs. I just want to use it to create, and it's been great. So I'll just make this short and sweet: Please put something in the program to easily restore the last autosave file, or an FAQ page with big bold letters on the location of the autosave file. I had a crash and had a very hard time locating it, even with my powers of GoogleFu and common sense. (I was glad to find out from Google that this actually existed, since it's not readily apparent just from painting, and while I was able to discover that, yes, the autosave feature exists- I could not easily access its typical location.) Moody artists with less cool heads than mine need this feature desperately. Someone, somewhere, will literally have a panic attack because of the obtuse nature of the file's location. Krita has quite a few folders across quite a few locations, not all of which are un-hidden. This would also be nice simply for the sake of convenience, in the case of a crash. |

That already exists. When you open the file that you have been working on, Krita will detect if there is an autosave file and offer to open that.

Krita offered me to open the autosave file but I accidentally clicked "No". How can I find the autosave file now, since Krita won't open it for me again?

If you have clicked no, then i am afraid the file has gone. Krita deletes it when you click 'NO' . |
