Hi,
Tried to contact KO GmbH in the past to ask how much it would cost to implement these, but didn't get any answer, I figured it wouldn't hurt anyone to ask here... The features (let me know if something is already implemented, I'm so dumb I could've missed it!): 1. Customizable Shortcuts for Layer Management: - Show/Hide - Lock/Unlock - AlphaLock/Unlock - Delete Layer 2. Shortcuts to override/toggle Opacity & Size by Pressure and Airbrushing: Instead of having to create a copy of a brush, or going to the settings to change just one of those options (It's something we change frequently), using those shortcuts would improve workflow a lot! 3. Shortcuts for opacity and softness/falloff: In the vein of "Shift+LMB drag" to resize, could be: Shift+Alt+LMB drag = Opacity Shift+Ctrl+LMB drag = Softness/falloff 4. Color picking Tiles in Wrap Around Mode: Being able to pick colors outside the main canvas in wrap around mode is kind of important! Countless of times I move around and pick outside the main canvas resulting in constant Black strokes, I have to exit wrap mode, pick colour, go back to wrap mode... constantly... it's totally counterproductive... Maybe it is a bug? Maybe it's so tricky technically that is imposible to implement?... I had to ask anyway. 5. Hold and release behaviour for Eraser shortcut (and others) If the user holds the shortcut pressed, erases, then releases the key, eraser mode automatically goes off again. Same could work for tools like Draw Line... P.S.: I have to mention I see Krita evolving nicely and I'm glad the Kickstarter campaign is going well, but I'm a bit dissapointed how ui/usability/improving essential basic stuff is being neglected... it's really simpler stuff than most of the features in the Kickstarter campaign, how is it possible that no developer cares about usability too?

Delete layer seems to already have a shortcut you can assign to it. For the rest, I agree it'd be really useful to have most of those.
The color-picker not working in wraparound mode is probably just an oversight, since brushes, selections etc all do work in wraparound mode. It might be a good idea to file a bugreport for it. |

Thanks! I was looking for "Delete" instead of "Remove"
Now that I think of this... it would be good to have a way to change the shortcuts right in the GUI, like 3DCoat or Blender for example: Cursor over an icon (Trash icon in this case) press Insert key > press desired shortcut > enter to accept. |

Hm, weird -- I must have missed that. I get all the mail for sales@kogmbh.com as well as krita-support@kritastudio.com and so on.
Yes, all of those make sense. We just need to find the time. Please mail me again -- boudewijn.rempt@kogmbh.com, and I'll get you a quote as soon as possible.
It's https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=336122, and it's on the todo list. Probably for this week. We expect that it will take about three days, which comes to about 400 euros of Dmitry's time
That's more tricky to do, mainly because of the way Qt's input system works. But it might be doable, with the same trick we use for space-pan.
Well, it's simply not true that we don't care about usability. We're adding new shortcuts and workflow fixes all the time -- like shortcuts for blending modes, docker locks, scalable icons for resource pickers. But if you want to make a splash with a kickstarter campaign, those things just aren't spectacular enough. You need real features for that. |

It is possible to implement that, but it would need to be implemented everywhere, and it really should be a gui toolkit feature. It's already present for menu's, btw -- right-click on a menu entry and you can configure a shortcut. |

Will do! thanks!
Wow, I couldn't have imagined it was a bug that nasty to take three days!
I apologize for the rant then! Glad to read your say on this. |

It's not so much that the bug is nasty, but that we'll need to extend both color picker mechanisms in a way we never foresaw when writing the basic tools ten years ago
