Hello everyone, I'd love to see a brush preview, without having to do a test or paint on the preset icons. I don't use Corel Painter, but they have exactly what I mean. It can really save time for some who want a line generated for them with perhaps a variable flow or opacity across it. I believe Photoshop can do this as well and it helps more than one may think at first.

I wanted the same thing so I made myself a set last week. I can post post a 720 px wide example here or upload to imgur.com and post a link. Let me know what size you would like. Mine was made in Krita_2.8.1 and has the preset brushes, each used in a grid format with no pressure at the top and a pressure sensitive line at the bottom. I superimposed a screen shot as a layer so I can pick a brush and see what made it. |

I've made some nice previews myself. But it's way to time consuming if your constantly adding and changing brushes. I believe krita should of had this a while ago, as it saves headaches considerably, for me at least.

We actually had that in the 2.2 or 2.3 days. We replaced it with the scratchpad because the preview squiggle was really deceptive: it only took pressure into account and so didn't show most of the brush settings. |

Yea, that makes perfect sense, now if we could just have a more intuitive way of creating the icons, that would be great! (: |
