I'm migrating from GIMP to Krita, for many reasons (speed, interface, KDE integration, bit of depth, real time filters, . Mostly I make photo retouch but I need to use GIMP everytime I want to change primary colors properties. In GIMP I have in menu option "Hue-Saturation", that is "Adjust Hue/ lightness / saturation" option, that is so powerfull that let me select a primary additive or substractive color and change his tone , luminosity and/or saturation. Is a very powerfull tool in one window.
(sorry, don't know how to add an embedded image, so I attach this link [http://www.lynda.com/GIMP-tutorials/Adjusting-Hue-Saturation-Brightness/112673/117928-4.html] where you can see a capture of the window I'm talking about) Thank you (I published this same question on https://community.kde.org/Talk:Krita/Wishlist , but no one replied.) |

Hm, I cannot watch that video without joining that website. But I know the Gimp dialog you intend, and we don't have exactly that dialog in Krita yet. It's also not on the todo list for 2.9, though if someone would sit down and code it, I'd be happy to help with advice.
It's not particularly difficult since the basic algorithms are already in the HSV adjustment filter (filters/adjust/hsv adjustment). |

Boudewijn, you don't need to play the video, cause the first frame of that video is showing exactly the flying window that contain the tool ("Hue / Saturacion" tool windows) in the right of the image. Maybe I was not clear in my explanation about the link.
About coding ... is not my day to day work, so I have not skills to do something like that (even I don't know which is the coding language). |
